Truestag (“we”, “us”, “our”) runs the online apparel store at truestag.shop, where we sell hoodies, insulated coats, tracksuits and denim. This page sets out what we collect when you visit or buy from us, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Using the site or placing an order means you accept what is written here.
What we collect from you. When you place an order we take your name, delivery address, billing address, email address, phone number and the contents of your basket. When you write to us, we keep the message and whatever you include in it, such as an order number or a photo of a faulty seam. If you sign up for our email list we keep your address until you tell us to stop. Card details go straight to our payment provider through the checkout. Complete card numbers are never written to our servers and our staff cannot see them.
What we collect automatically. Like most shops, our site records technical details as you browse: the IP address you connect from, your browser and device, the pages you open and the route you took to get here. Cookies and similar tags do that work. They also keep your basket alive while you move between pages.
Why we hold it. To pack and deliver what you bought, to send order and tracking updates, to answer questions, to handle returns and guarantee claims, to spot fraudulent orders, to keep the tax and accounting records the law requires of us, and, where you have asked for it, to send occasional emails about new stock. Every marketing email carries a one click unsubscribe link.
Who else sees it. Your personal information is never sold or rented. It is passed only to the companies that help us run the shop, and only to the extent they need it: our payment provider, our delivery carriers, our email platform and our hosting company. We may also hand information over where a court, a regulator or the law obliges us to, or where it is needed to protect our rights or somebody’s safety.
Cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. Be aware that the basket and checkout rely on them, so parts of the shop will stop behaving properly if you switch them off entirely.
How long we keep it. Order records stay with us for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Support conversations are kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it reopens. Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you unsubscribe.
Keeping it safe. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what we hold, including an encrypted connection across the whole site. No system on the internet is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Your choices. Depending on the state you live in, you may be able to ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to a particular use. Write to the address at the bottom of this page and we will reply inside the period the law allows us.
Children. This shop is meant for adults. We do not aim any part of it at children under 13 and we do not knowingly keep their information. If you believe a child has given us details, contact us and we will remove them.
Updates. When this page changes, the revised version appears here with a new date at the top. Continuing to use the shop after that means you accept the updated version.
